RED: 4th Annual Silent Auction & Party

December 1st is World AIDS Day. This year, roughly 2000 Canadians will be diagnosed with HIV, adding to the 75, 500 who are already living with the infection. The numbers are likely higher, because many people who are living with HIV have not been tested and are unaware of their status. When people receive their HIV diagnosis, they need somewhere to turn. That’s where we come in. We are the only organization on Vancouver Island that can match those who are newly diagnosed with long-term survivors to help them navigate this complex and difficult time.
The Vancouver Island Persons Living with HIV/AIDS Society (VPWAS), founded in 1991, is the only peer based and operated HIV/AIDS organization on Vancouver Island. We provide compassionate peer support, treatment information, and education to all persons living with HIV/AIDS on Vancouver Island.
We also provide prevention information and resources to help decrease the number of new HIV infections. On November 30th, we will be holding our 4th Annual Silent Auction & Party to raise much needed funds for our programs and services.
Join us! Your ticket to the event includes an opportunity to win amazing door prizes, bid in the silent auction, appetizers and live music from a local musician. Please call us for more information or if you would like to donate to the silent auction.
