Starting out in 1996, Stones Throw Records is responsible for an expansive catalogue of re-releases and rarity comps as well as releasing amazing albums by DāM-FunK, Madlib, Karriem Riggins, Guilty Simpson, J Dilla, J Rocc, Quasimoto, Savath & Savalas aka Prefuse73, Chrome Canyon and Yesterday's New Quintet just to name a few.
It's presence was never defined by a particular genre although built on the grounds of hip hop, Stones Throw expanded to help release the works that their artists were sampling moving towards funk, soul, reggae, dub. jazz and everything in between. The Stones Throws catalogue is extensive and Audio Osmosis and db Chessa will be crate digging through their own personal collections to bring you some of their favourite tracks.
