The Duncan Freedom Gospel Choir and the Victoria Gospel Choir are presenting a joint concert for February, Black History Month. The theme is water and features songs such as Wade in the Water, The Storm is Passing Over, Gather at The River, Down By The Riverside and more. A new song composed by the choirs' accompanist Tanya Gillespie will have it's debut, Calm The Storm.The two choirs will join for a grande finale. Guest soloist is Shalema Gantt., Director of the Nanaimo African Heritage Society.
Tickets are available at Ten Old Books, from choir members and at the door.
