The Duncan Freedom Gospel Choir And The Victoria Freedom Gospel Choir present a joint concert celebrating February, Black History Month. The songs for the concert pertain to the theme of water such as Wade In The Water, The Storm Is Passing Over, Down By The Riverside, Gather At The River and more. The choirs will join to sing Calm The Storm, composed by their talented accompanist, Tanya Gillespie. Shalema Gantt, Director of the Nanaimo African Heritage Society, will be the guest soloist.
Tickets are available at Ten Old Books Duncan, Christian Book and Music Center Victoria, from choir members and at the door.
