Join Rachel Wyatt for a reading of her new short story collection STREET SYMPHONY.
Born in Bradford, England Rachel Wyatt emigrated to Toronto with her family in 1957 and now lives in Victoria. She is the author of five novels and four collections of short stories. Her stage plays have been produced across Canada as well as in the U.K. and the U.S. She has also written countless dramas for radio for CBC and BBC. In 2002 she was made a Member of the Order of Canada, and in 2003 was awarded the Queen’s Jubilee Medal. Rachel Wyatt was director of Writing Programs at The Banff Centre until 2001. A Quill & Quire review describes her latest book, Street Symphony, a collection of 17 interconnected short stories as “an accomplished work remarkable for its compassion, humour, and observations about lives at the margins.”
