Campbell River's 6th dragon boat regatta.
Both BraveHearts Dragon Boat Team and River Spirit are proud to showcase the amazing sport of dragon boat racing to Campbell River for the fourth year in a row. Beyond their passion for the sport, these teams share many common ideals. In dragon boat paddling there are no stars; it is a total team effort. Both teams paddle seriously but more importantly they believe that camaraderie, a supportive environment and team spirit are the measures of success. Paddling is fun!
Dragon boat paddling provides a solid physical workout. Both teams encourage athletic excellence and can be seen practicing in the Campbell River estuary two or three times a week from early spring to fall, honing their skills to participate in major dragon boat events on Vancouver Island. They share the belief that dragon boating is not only good for physical health but also promotes and encourages feelings of confidence through team effort and achievement.
