For the past 34 years Parksville Beach Festival has welcomed visitors from all over the world to our Sand Sculpting Exhibition and Competition, which is open to professional/master level sculptors.

The competition lasts for 30 hours over 4 days with gates opening to the public at 2 pm, Friday, July 15th while the exhibition of the sculptures takes place until Sunday, August 21st.

Admission into the venue is by a suggested donation of $3.00 per person. Proceeds from the donations support several local non-profit organizations with over $42,000 per year being donated back to these volunteer community groups. Be sure to bring your camera to this amazing event because once the exhibition is over the sculptures are gone forever. Don't forget to bring your own buckets and shovels as you and your family are sure to be inspired to create a little sandcastle magic of your own after viewing the sand sculptures. Learn the tricks of the trade at the Coastal Community Sculpting Zone by watching free sand sculpting demos on Saturday and Sunday, July 16 & 17, 2016!

Additionally, Parksville Beach Festival hosts a FREE Outdoor Summer Concert Series, Art in the Park and Beach Blanket Bingo! The FREE Outdoor Summer Concert Series will take place on Friday and Saturday nights from July 22 - August 20^th from 6:30-8:30 pm at the picnic shelter in the Parksville Community Park. New this summer is Beach Blanket Bingo on August 7^thfrom 1 -3 pm! Play 13 games of bingo for $10 and have a chance to win loads of great prizes.  Art in the Park is held August 20^th from 10am -4pm, this one-day art market showcases talented local artists amongst the beautiful backdrop of the Parksville Community Park.
