Pumpkin Art donations support Oak Bay Volunteer Society and Threshold Housing Society. Oak Bay Volunteer Services Society provides direct volunteer services to Oak Bay residents on a one-to-one basis. Clients can be of any age, and are individuals in need of volunteer help because of health, financial or other needs. Threshold Housing Society helps at-risk youth attain independence and self-reliance through supportive transitional housing.
Oak Bay Village businesses will host a trick or treat from 2 pm to 5 pm on Wednesday, October 31. Participating businesses are identified by a pumpkin poster in their window. Oak Bay Avenue is closed for Trick or Treat and families are invited to enjoy music and spooky entertainment.
Trick or treat is followed by a Bonfire in Firemans Park,
1703 Monterey (next to the fire hall) at 6:00 p.m.
Pumpkin Art on the Avenue features hundreds of pumpkin carvings set up in themes featuring Canadian Idols, cartoon characters, prime ministers, presidents, TV shows, the royal family, sixties icons, CBC history and more!
