The Master of Arts in Sustainable Leisure Management at Vancouver Island University, in conjunction with the World Leisure Centre of Excellence (WLCE), is thrilled to welcome Visiting Scholar Dr. Stephen Wearing from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS) in Australia. Stephen will be a featured presenter for the WLCE's Innovation Infusion Event on Thursday, January 23, from 11:30-1:00. His presentation will be based on his latest book, entitled International Volunteer Tourism: Integrating Travellers and Communities. Throughout the academic year, visiting scholars and guest speakers such as Stephen offer public presentations, which fulfil part of our mandate to offer both our students and our community the opportunity to learn from the experiences and research of local, national and international scholars and practitioners through public presentations. Innovation Infusion Events are free and open to all. Light refreshments will be provided.
