With roots set deep in the northern BC soil, Black Spruce Bog brings a sound and tells the stories of people and the land they live on. The mossy floor of a spruce bog is not an easy place to thrive; but with the right mix of rhythm, rhyme, and ruckus, any sapling can find the light. Comprised of members from various Prince George groups (Canadian Waste, the Salt Water Bros., Ivan and Wyn, and the Bricks), the band’s sound is a giant soup pot of BC Canadiana – mix a large helping of roots, bluegrass and folk in with a hint of funk, a dash of jazz, and a healthy dollop of old time rock ‘n roll. Serve hot.
