Portfolio Reading series is pleased to present Ken Hegan to Nanaimo audiences. Ken will be in Nanaimo to talk about writing scripts and screenplays. He'll be reading from his two new comedy scripts, innovative ways to getting films produced, and his experience in writing/directing and co-producing.

Some say that Vancouver filmmaker Ken Hegan is The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived.
Ken is the first-ever Screenwriter in Residence at the Vancouver Public Library.
Ken’s comedy films have screened at 100+ festivals, CBC, and The Comedy Network. He has writing/producing credits on 20 TV shows on CTV, TSN, Discovery, CBC, and CNBC. He co-wrote the Opening Essay for the Vancouver Winter Olympics (narrated by Donald Sutherland) with 13 million viewers on CTV and TSN.
Ken has won three gold National Magazine Awards, and his Grade 2 teacher once said it was a pleasure to have Ken in her class.
