Join us this St. Patrick's Day weekend for 'the Rolling Stones of Irish Traditional Music'. De Danann formed in 1975 in Galway and quickly became one of the most influential bands in traditional Irish music for almost 30 years. They returned to the festival stage in 2009 with a new album Wonderwaltz, their 14th studio album.
De Danann's distinctive approach to the tradition and their creation of music rich in character and spirit have been the cornerstone of Irish music for over two decades. Jigs and reels are played skillfully, showcasing accordion, fiddle, banjo and bouzouki accompanied by propulsive bodhrán rhythms.
