Another world-class event is planned and the competition will be fierce.

This year, the annual Logger Sports event will span two days over the Canada Day long weekend – Friday July 1 and Saturday July 2. On Friday afternoon, Logger Sports events will be part of Port McNeill’s 50th Anniversary and Canada Day Celebrations near the waterfront in the Town of Port McNeill. The event continues on Saturday July 2, 11 AM – 3 PM, at the event site on Broughton Boulevard, just passed the Beach Drive intersection.

This is an excellent family-oriented event that is free to attend. It is a great chance to see nationally-ranked athletes vie for cash prizes and bragging rights. Competitors go head to head in a full slate of events including Axe Throw, Choker Race, Springboard and Hot Saw to name a few. There will be Mens and Ladies categories as well as a Mixed Jack & Jill event. The Port McNeill Logger Sports Society is also very excited to again offer a novice-class competition and are encouraging all North Islanders to come out and join in the contest and for some good natured fun.
