This spring, thousands of people across Canada will come together to raise awareness and funds in support of their community hospices. HIKE FOR HOSPICE gives families, individuals and groups an opportunity to connect with Hospice and to walk in honour of someone they loved. Getting involved is easy -- pick up a pledge sheet from Ty Watson House and gather pledges to turn in on hike day. 100% of all funds raised stay in our community.
Back by popular demand at the HIKE is the WILD & WACKY TIE CONTEST. Jim�s Clothes Closet will generously donate $5 for every participant (human and canine) wearing a necktie.
SPECIAL DRAW: All donations received during May (Hospice Month) will be entered into a draw for a two-night stay at the luxurious BLACK ROCK OCEANFRONT RESORT in Ucluelet together with a $50 meal credit. Local radio station, PEAK 93.3 FM RADIO, will be giving away a chance to be entered into the Black Rock draw to callers who are able to correctly answer questions about this event and the Hospice services offered in our community.
This is a fun-filled event, so plan to join us with your family, friends and your canine pets! Trophies will be awarded for the most pledge amounts gathered, prize draws, a BBQ lunch, music and much more! Come and enjoy this celebration of life and remembrance of loved ones.
