Welcome to the Blue Marlins 5th Annual Great Sail Past.

Events kick off with Santa Claus arriving at Portal Curios at the entrance to Harbour Quay at 4:30 p.m. He will be available for photos until 5:30 p.m.

A hotdog barbecue starts at 5 p.m. at Harbour Quay, and hot chocolate will also be available. The Salvation Army will have it’s van at the Quay to collect non-perishable food items for the community food bank.

“Scheduling for the sail past is all weather-permitting,” says organizer Sue Hopkins from the Blue Marlin Inn. Participating boats will marshal at the breakwater at Fisherman’s Wharf. The parade of boats will begin at 6 p.m.

The Mars Rustler will be in the harbour to set off our amazing fireworks show! Search and Rescue will be on sight to provide assistance to any boats.The Salvation Army van will be there collecting non perishable goods for their Christmas Hampers.

The fireworks display will happen between 7–7:30 p.m.

All proceeds from the Sail Past go to the AV Hospice Society. Many thanks to the boaters who decorate their boats and put on a show for our community. Good luck to all for the Prize money and please register in the pub by Nov. 23rd.

The Port Authority is again offering free moorage that evening for those that enter. Please come down, and enjoy the evening!
