Popular artist and illustrator Renee Nault returns to Victoria for her first show in the city she grew up in. Her work has appeared in books, magazines, newspapers and advertising, and has graced cd covers, posters and gallery walls. She is a frequent illustrator for the Los Angeles Times, and her work is known and recognized in North America and around the world.
For this exhibition, Renee explores her favorite themes: mythology, fairy tales, and stories of all kinds, and the ways in which they intertwine with and influence our lives. Her work is influenced by classical children's books, art nouveau, Japanese woodblock prints, contemporary pop culture, and dream imagery. Her art is full of vivid color and lush detail.
The show will feature several dozen new paintings in all sizes available for purchase. With a selection of prints available, there is sure to be something for every budget.
The opening reception will take place on March 18th, begining at 8:00pm. Please join us for an evening of art that will delight your eyes and imagination!
