Plenty of Fish in the Sea? -- Salt Spring Forum Presents Dr. Daniel Pauly, Fisheries Scientist
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Global overfishing and massive underreporting of catches are putting world fish populations in peril. How close are the planet’s fisheries to collapse? What can be done to reverse this dangerous trajectory?
Dr. Daniel Pauly, a world-renowned fisheries scientist, joins the Salt Spring Forum for a crucial and highly informative conversation about the challenges currently facing fish and the oceans — and what can be done to help. Since 1999, Dr. Pauly has led an all-encompassing research project devoted to global fisheries trends. Dr. Pauly and his team found that the world’s fisheries are closer to collapse than we think. Dr. Pauly has also reached other important conclusions – most critical among them that fish populations are declining rapidly worldwide.
Make sure to attend this important discussion with one of the world's most sought-after fisheries experts!
