Join us for an all-ages event where you will play the board game 'Life' and help send a girl in Malawi, Africa to secondary school. This family fun night will also include music, refreshments, childcare services, and tons of great draw prizes. Like $50 to Il Terrazzo restraunt, one of Victoria's best Itlalian restraunts! All profits made through ticket sales, raffle sales and general donations will go directly to a scholoraship fund with the non-profit organization Raise Your Voice (RYV).
Raise Your Voice (RYV) is a non-profit organization and registered Canadian Charity founded in 2012 by second year students at Lester B. United World College of the Pacific, an international boarding school just outside of Victoria, B.C. In 2013 RYV is fundraising for the school Girls on the Move in Malawi, Africa, to sponsor the full cost ($4,000) of one student to attend four years of secondary school.
This event is being organized by the City of Victoria's Step-Up Youth Leadership Crew, a group of dedicated youth who volunteer and operate through the Crystal Pool & Fitness Centre. RYV and Step-Up share the common goal of empowering and engaging youth in their local communities. Together, we are excited to support and educate youth on a global scale.
