We invite Nanaimoites to meet in Diana Krall Plaza, 90 Commercial Street on Wednesday, February 24th from 12-1pm for an aerial community photograph by Arrowsmith Aerial Photography (Aerial drone which carries some noise) and enjoy a complimentary coffee or hot chocolate from Coast Bastion Inn, Nanaimo.
Coast FM will be broadcasting live from 11-1pm and guest speakers, MLA Leonard Krog, Nanaimo Mayor Bill McKay, School Board 68 Trustee Noah Routley and Steve Arnett, CEO of Nanaimo Youth Service Association will show their support by wearing pink and promoting Nanaimo’s involvement in this campaign. In 2015, Mayor Bill McKay read Nanaimo’s anti-bullying proclamation stating the importance of being kind to one another and recognizing that bullying is a societal problem.
Pink Shirts can be purchased through London Drugs for $9.80 while supplies last. Proceeds from Nanaimo’s London Drug Pink Shirt sales will stay in our community to support anti-bullying programs.
