Philosophers' Cafe: The Replication Crisis in Psychology
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
Psychology research has led to discoveries that are new and exciting, but, despite concerted efforts, often can’t be replicated. Does this failure in replication point to a deeper problem - in methodology, research incentives, or criteria for knowledge? Come discuss it at the Philosphers' Cafe, a public forum for debate at the downtown library, facilitated by Stephanie McKenzie. Stephanie McKenzie has taught in the VIU Psychology Department since 2010. Her special interests are historical and theoretical psychology, with an emphasis on personhood and agency.
