Chemainus Classical Concerts/St. Michael's presents: "Persian Spring" with Faraidoun Akhavan, Douglas Hensley and Arian Aminalroaya. For 300 years, the Spring Equinox has been marking the start of the Persian New Year, Noruz. In this extraordinary concert, Ensemble Darya treats us to compositions and improvisations based on the 12 modes that underlie classical Persia's beautiful and exotic musical palette.
