After years of chance encounters, near misunderstandings and missed opportunities, Toronto-based singers Terra Hazelton and Sophia Perlman discovered a mutual love for music, harmonies and songwriting that went far beyond the borders of their respective jazz careers.

Since the band�s Christmas baptism by blizzard, PerlHaze has been studying the songwriters who inspire them most taking their first steps as aspiring songwriters, and learning to play (at press time) six instruments between them, and fine-tuned their uncanny vocal blend creating harmonies on Joanne Mackell�s 2013 release Every Day & Night and Jeff Gladstone�s debut album Hell of Girl, which was produced by Terra, and recorded in her Toronto loft. They also appear in the album�s first music video, One Little Accident Away, which was selected to screen at the No Fear Film Festival, and was an Editor�s Pick for Noir Nation.

As bootcamp before they record their own first full-length album in the fall, they are trekking across Western Canada, armed with their new-found harmony super-powers, and little collection of early recordings of the music that inspires them most. www.perlhaze.com
