Pepperpot's 9th Year Anniversary Bash!

Other than the fact that we've talked about this show being Pepperpot's 9th Year Anniversary Bash, the other big news is this album Inner Circle have put out is loaded with some of the heaviest hitters in the reggae world. If you haven't had the chance to check out this album, please do yourself a favour.

The album features artists such as Damian Jr. Gong and Stephen Marley, Morgan Heritage, Steel Pulse, Slightly Stoopid, Luciano, Lutan Fyah, Junior Reid, Redlyte & Screwdriver. With already two Grammy Awards behind them, they are going for their 3rd this spring.

And in case none of these artists ring a bell, you all will probably remember the Cops Theme Song "Bad Boys" and they also had a platinum hit with their song Sweat "A lalalala Long" They are known for other hits such as "Tell Me", Game People Play and many more. You also may remember that the band was featuredin the reggae cult classic "Rockers" with their late leader singer Jacob Miller. They became known in the late seventies and early eighties with their hit "Tenement Yard" and then climbed back to the top of the reggae world later to win two Grammy Awards.

Warming up the evening will be two amazing acts. The first will be Vancouver's Natural Flavas who are comprised of some of Vancouver's best reggae veterans. Members of the band have shared the stage with other artists such as Wailers Band, Beenie Man, Culture, Israel Vibration, Jimmy Cliff and Linton Kwesi Johnson.NATURAL FLAVAS produces original reggae-soaked music with horns and harmonies that parallels the current Jamaican scene while remaining uniquely Canadian. The band also works as a backing band for other reggae artists performing an extensive repertoire of standards, and several of the members have played with Jamaican artists touring Canada (Mighty Diamonds, George Nooks, Alton Ellis & Half Pint).

And finally BACCHANAL SOUND (DJ Abel & DJ Collage) will be selecting and mashing down the mic all night long. As you may know both DJ Abel & DJ Collage
have been huge supporters of Pepperpot for many years! Ya get both Vancouver's and Seattle's best selector hype men all in one!
