Our evening together will include a guided meditation to help us let go of our day and prepare us for receiving the Oneness Blessing or Deeksha. Relaxing music from a number of cultures will accompany our efforts. The meditation is followed by the blessings. This non-religious blessing or deeksha is passed by a light touch of hands onto the top of the head. Anyone initiated as an Oneness blessing giver may offer this gift. At the completion of the blessings, usually given by a number of people, we take a few minutes to integrate before enjoying light refreshments highlighted by lively discussions of our evening experiences. We complete our evening by 8:00 p.m. The Oneness blessing or deeksha, a sanskrit term meaning benediction or initiation is the transfer of Divine energy. This energy is designed to bring about an awakening into Oneness in the recipient.
