Local poets Ian Cognito and Pat Smekal will be reading selections from their separate bodies of work, alongside pieces and collections they’ve composed together.
The event is an anniversary of sorts. Pat and Ian launched their first collaborative effort, flora, fauna & h. sapiens at the same venue eight years previous. Since then they have followed with a string of poetry collections and open-call anthologies. This includes Pat’s most recent solo project, Ripples (Repartee Press 2023). Pat and Ian will be presenting lively, imaginative, and irreverent poetry from several of these titles during this event.
Free admission. All are welcome.
The Forum is accessed through the Atrium of the Parksville Civic & Technology Centre (PCTC) at 100 Jensen Ave E, Parksville.
