Parksville Newcomers is a social club designed for couples, as well as singles, young and not so young, who are new to the Parksville and Oceanside area. The group meets on the first Thursday of each month.

We encourage all newcomers to the Parksville and greater Oceanside area to join us and participate in the many and varied activities offered by the Club. We provide an opportunity for newcomers to meet others in friendly fun-oriented social environments. The club offers you a relaxed environment to meet other newcomers, become involved in local club activities, generally learn more about your community. The numerous activities are each organized by Activity Coordinators who are volunteers from the club. An elected executive governs the club.

The regular meetings feature a guest speaker selected to help acquaint you with the area and living in BC. In addition, there are presentations about all the regular club events and special events. The Parksville Newcomers' Club and the Parksville Newcomers' Alumni Club share several activities. Members of both groups are welcome to participate in these shared activities.

If you have lived in the Parksville area for 5 years or less, you are eligible to join. Membership is for 3 years, then you can move up to the Alumni.
