The Parksville Downtown Business Association (PDBA) is feeling elf-ish this year and is spreading the Christmas spirit with promotions designed to bring more joy and sparkle to the downtown.
New this year is the Parksville Downtown Christmas Light-up which kicks off “The Season in the City.” At 6 p.m. Thurs., Nov. 26, Mayor Marc Lefebvre will flip the switch to illuminate the giant sequoia tree at the east end of Morison Ave. The public is invited to sing carols with the Craig Bay Choristers and enjoy hot chocolate and other treats.
Motorists are advised that the east end of Morison will be closed to through traffic from 4:30 p.m. until the event ends.
