On September 18, a select number of spaces along Commercial Street will be transformed for Nanaimo's 2nd annual PARK(ing) Day!
PARK(ing) Day is a annual open-source global event where citizens and artists collaborate to temporarily transform parking spaces into “PARK(ing)” spaces: temporary public cultural places. For 2015, the following groups will participate: * Vancouver Island University * Vancouver Island Regional Library * Mid Island Metis Nation * Nanaimo Aloha Ukelele Circle * Continual Threshold * Downtown Nanaimo Business Improvement Association
