The title may be an aria from Handel's Messiah but this concert centres around the british brass band and those wonderful solos for that trumpet like instrument the cornet.
The programme includes Henry Purcell's Trumpet Voluntary, and virtuoso pieces like Napoli, Carnival of Venice and ballades like Abide With Me and None but the Weary Heart.
