Professor Mazin B. Qumsiyeh will speak in Victoria, on Sunday, April 6th, at 7 p.m. The title of Professor Qumsiyeh's talk will be "Palestine Today and in the Future". A Q&A session will follow.

Professor Mazin Qumsiyeh is an instructor and researcher at Bethlehem and Birzeit Universities, both located in the West Bank, Palestine. He is the author of "Sharing the Land of Canaan: Human Rights and the Israeli-Palestinian Struggle", and "Popular Resistance in Palestine: A History of Hope and Empowerment".

Also a leader of the Palestinian popular resistance, Qumsiyeh is Coordinator of the Popular Committee Against the Wall and Settlements in Beit Sahour, and he serves as chair of the board of the Palestinian Centre for Rapprochement Between People.

The Barnard-Becker Centre Foundation, Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East, Coalition Against Israeli Apartheid, and Independent Jewish Voices are bringing this event with Professor Qumsiyeh to Victoria.
