Painting the In-Between
add to outlook add to google calendar remind me
This course will focus around the idea of creating a series of paintings that explore in-between spaces. These are places on the edge: places of meeting, of the unseen, or of the mundane. Zones of emergence, growth, construction, destruction or death will be examined, including highways, ditches, industrial lots, or clearcut areas. Students will develop their awareness of transition and impermanence, and begin experimenting with their methods of painting to create material reflections of space in flux. This course will encourage students to develop new ways to think about subject and content in their paintings.
