This includes using the material qualities of paint and mediums to change/enhance/subvert the mood, impact and meaning of a painting and exploring how colour can affect emotional or symbolic impact. Students will also explore the potential of shaped surfaces and/or different substrates along with unusual or unexpected use of other materials in combination with paint to support or problematize the meaning of a painting.
