Join us for a two-part oil painting workshop guided by local artist Deanna Lankin! Participants will learn tips and techniques to transform their favourite photo in to an oil painting on canvas.

This evening will inspire and inform anyone that is new to painting, wants to 'brush up' on the basics, or connect with other creatives. Learn from start to finish by attending both evenings - if space allows we will take drop-ins for either evening.

Deanna Lankin is a local artist and graduate of the Studio Practice and Art Specialist Program at Bealart Institute. After completing her studies, she was naturally drawn to the westcoast and has been painting professionally in Tofino, British Columbia since 2005. Lankin’s style combines the antiquity of classical oil technique with a contemporary palette, focusing on the West Coast landscape and it’s people.

Cost: $60 for Part 1 & 2; $45 for one evening only (supplies included) You will need to bring: a photo of your choosing printed on regular printer paper (with resolution high enough to be blown up to about 8.5"x11")
