The 2016 Nanaimo Paddlefest is an important annual event showcasing and experiencing various paddling skills with clinics, demonstrations, races and tours in outrigger canoe, kayak, native dugout canoe, dragon boat and stand up paddleboard.
All ages and abilities are welcome. On dry-land there will be exhibits and clinics with video presentations of paddling trips to faraway places including the Arctic and Antarctic.
Our special guest Bob Purdy, found of “Paddle for the Planet” will be giving talks and clinics, leading the paddling flotilla.
