Upstairs at Quality Foods in Parksville for a high energy fun night of networking games and activities, Tapas & Appetizers February 21st, 2023 (Bring gently used handbags & fill with unopened personal items) Haven House:

The Oceanside area's safe house provides temporary shelter to support women of all ages and their children who have experienced domestic violence. The Oceanside house covers Parksville, Qualicum Beach, Qualicum Bay, Nanoose Bay, Errington, Coombs, Whiskey Creek and Bowser. Last year Mid Island Haven Society supported over 3000 women and their children

When women and their children leave an abusive home, it is usually in the middle of the night at a moment notice. They usually leave all their personal belongs behind. If you have a new or used purse(s) and you wish to donate, please bring your donation to OWBN 21 Feb meeting. We will also be accepting gently used cell phones and cash donations. All cash donations over $20.00 will be issued with a tax receipt. Tax receipts will be mailed out within 4 to 5 weeks.

If you are unable to attend the OWBN meeting, there are two others drop off locations Arbutus Fashions Qualicum Beach or Speedy Glass Parksville.
