Organic Sheepskin Rug Making and Sheepskin Hide Tanning with use the ancient organic technique of mineral tanning from 10 - 3 on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The sheepskins and tools will be provided and participants will bring home their own finished sheepskin rug.
Care is taken to respect the land, air, water and the animals who share their spirits with us. The ancient skill of Hide Tanning will intrigue and challenge you.
Registration is limited and this new course for Ladysmith/Nanaimo area is expected to fill quickly. Bring a bag lunch and coffee/tea each day and wear warm layers of clothing and sturdy footwear.
