Can we have both healthy, sustainable marine and coastal ecosystems; and a thriving, innovative seafood sector that together benefit BC's coastal communities?

Presented by the VIU Institute for Coastal Research, this free event will look at this question in more detail across a number of themes, and involve speakers and discussion on areas like: food security and health; science and research; environment and sustainability; culture and society; markets and trade.

Speakers include, among others: Dr. Craig Stephen, President, Centre for Coastal Health; Michael Grant, Conference Board of Canada and Dr. Mark Zacharias, Assistant Deputy Minister, BC Ministry of Environment.

FREE Event takes place Tuesday November 22, from 930-430 at VIU's Nanaimo Campus. Library Bldg 305, Library Boardroom 507.
