ONE NITE! Valentine�s Fundraiser for Haven Society

Date or no date for Valentine�s, come on out for ONE NITE!, a FUNdraiser organized by VIU MBA Students. Live bands include Mathew Falvai, Mark Ore�Halloran, Steve Plantz and Defiler Productions. Just $10 is a cheap date night for anyone, and you can get in on Speed Dating, learn some Asian calligraphy, enter a raffle draw and get creative in the Best Pickup Line Contest.

VIU�s MBA students have split into groups to fundraise for a charitable organization in the community, and have chosen the Haven Society. One of the MBA groups, calling themselves the GIANTS 72, have organized this fun Valentine�s event. Their goal with this fundraiser and other activities they are planning, is to raise $10,000 for the Haven Society by March 5, 2014.

The Haven Society provides services to women, children, youth and families who have experienced violence. Every year more than 3,500 women and children in the Mid-Vancouver area seek support to recover from physical, sexual and psychological abuse and violence. Haven�s programs include providing shelter, emotional support, counselling, advocacy, and most importantly, a safe place to begin healing from abuse.
