Whether you’re a folk singer, theatre or spoken word artist, comedian, dancer, booking agent or tour manager, we invite you to attend On the Road to learn all about touring in BC, Canada, the U.S. and beyond.

Join the BC Touring Council for an informative, interactive weekend of conversation, Q&A, one-on-one meetings and other opportunities to gain valuable skills and build your network. Our carefully curated team of trainers made up of industry experts including artists, agents, managers, presenters and promoters will help you plan, book, prepare and promote your way through the province.

Over two days we’ll cover topics such as different touring markets, funding and finances, showcasing, attending Contact and Industry events, applying to festivals, social media marketing and more! Performing artists are invited to sign up for a 5-minute showcase session to receive constructive feedback from trainers to help improve and enhance their performance.

Registration is $60.75 for non-members (includes tax + service charges). This fee includes membership to BCTC for one year, lunch both days and breakfast on Sunday. Current BCTC members attend for FREE. Travel subsidies are available to those who qualify from outside of the Nanaimo area.
