Registration is free for BCTC members. Membership is $57.50 per year. To register or for more information, visit our website: bctouring.org. The registration deadline is Monday, November 7, 2016.
The two-day workshop covers topics such as tour planning and prep, attending industry events & Contact Events, applying to showcase/festivals, negotiating with presenters, marketing, social media, and more.
Participants are invited to participate in Pitch or Perform sessions and receive feedback from trainers. Often featured at industry events, pitch or performs offer an opportunity to promote shows and performances to presenters.
The workshop is intended to serve aspiring, emerging artists, agents and managers interested in enhancing their knowledge about touring. For the purposes of this program, aspiring, emerging artists are defined as those, between 18-34 years old, who have mastered the basic techniques of their art form through education or apprenticeship and are in the early stage of launching a professional career.
