Warm up the new year with some darn good jazz! Join Lorraine Nyygard in her new CD release gathering. This talented local vocalist will be joined by the legendary Louise Rose, Joey Smith, and Kelby MacNayr; backed with the sultry saxophone sounds of Roy Styffe, trombone of Ian McDougall and trumpet of Miguelito Valdes.

Lorraine's ten original pieces, that range from ballads or meditational genres to up-tempo songs that will have you tapping your toes, will be complimented by signature renditions of traditional jazz standards. Join them as they share their spirit of the moment with you. Complimentary homemade goodies and refreshments! At Cadboro Bay United Church, the comfortable individual seats have arm rests, so you can relax. The acoustics and sight lines are great, and there's plenty of free-parking too. On Friday, January 20th, doors will open at 7 p.m., and the show will start at 7:30 jazz time. $22/person, and family rates are available. Come get your smile on!
