Since moving from Israel to New York in 2006, 25 year old pianist Omer Klein is one of the rising stars of the creative music scene in New York. As a pianist and composer he creates a fascinating combination of Jazz, Israeli music and North- African roots.
The Omer Klein Trio, with bassist Haggai Cohen Milo and drummer Ziv Ravitz, have released the album Rockets on the Balcony in 2010, on John Zorn's prestigious label "Tzadik". The album was chosen as an �Editors' Pick� for December 2010 in Downbeat Magazine. The Trio performed a successful European tour in September 2011, and recorded a new album in New York in October. To the Unknown, their fifth offering was released, to great acclaim on French label, Plus Loin, in April 2013.
