Old Town Strings Tribute, A Panel Concert

For almost a half-century Old Town Strings has been, in the words of Lyall Lovett, the heartbeat of the Victoria music community. Sourcing and repairing instruments and providing lessons for several generations of Victoria musicians and fans, Dave Cahill is a beloved figure. Now he is passing the business on to the capable hands of Dylan Rovere, and The Victoria Folk Music Society will be voicing its appreciation with a special evening performance. Many musicians have worked at the shop and they will join friends in a panel concert, playing instruments that have passed through Dave’s hands.

This will be a joyful night — Come on down to say “Thank you, Dave!”
