A Celebration of Creeks and Ocean on World Water Day
An opportunity to see in-stream improvements by the Town of Qualicum Beach and Streamkeepers, and new marine shore protection concepts adopted by the Town.
Also, meet others who have concerns around water protection issues. Bring signs to express your particular issue(s)
Program:
Gather at the Brant Lookout parking lot/park.
Walk uphill one block with banners etc. to lower end of Grandon Creek.
Introductions, greetings from local officials, short presentation by the Streamkeepers representative on work in-stream.
Walk back to Lookout Park with banners for presentation on new form of erosion protection on beach.
Linger to talk with others about your issues.
Small parking area at Grandon Creek will be "reserved" for invited speakers and those with mobility issues
