Oceanside’s Minor Hockey Female Program is continuing to develop but playing female hockey in our community still comes with challenges. In order to play in the program, female athletes and families are required to do extensive travelling across the Island as local teams are non-existent and this can be financially demanding on the these families. With few female hockey tournaments on the Island, entering into tournaments without travelling off the Island is challenging.
With this in mind, Oceanside’s Minor Hockey's Female Icebreakers teams have decided to not only host a Bottle Drive to raise funds for our female hockey players but we want to support local families in need by hosting a Food Drive.
This event will take place in the Wembley Mall Parking Lot!
