Seniors Sessions is a weekly series that includes talks, tours, and one-on-one interaction with our Oceaneers. On Thursdays from 2:30 – 3:30 pm, we turn down ambiance noise so our Oceaneers are easier to hear, offer tea and cookies, and have additional seating options. Bring a friend or family member and learn about a new topic every week!

January 15th – Invertebrate Biodiversity 101: An overview of animals without bones
January 22nd – Arthropods: Armoured animals in the sea
January 29th – Intro to the Salish Sea: Guided tour
February 5th – Jelly vs. Jellyfish: What is the difference and who are they related to
Feburary 12th – Sex in the Salish Sea: Reproduction strategies of marine life
February 19th – A Day in the Life of an Aquarist: Learn the in’s and out’s of caring for our many sea creatures
February 26th – Intro to the Salish Sea: Guided tour
March 5th – The Salish Sea-A Retrospective: Learn about fascinating historical happenings on and around our Salish Sea
March 12th – Spring Break: No session
March 19th – Spring Break: No session
March 26th – Killer Whales of BC: Get the scoop on pod life in the Salish Sea
April 2nd – Beachcombing Basics: Places to go, what to look for and how to respect what you find
