NS3’s Science & Art camp explores the many facets of science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands on experiments, mentors, and movement

The week of July 22-26 is for campers ages 6-7.

Flex your engineering muscles by building a cool cardboard contraption using linkages and building bridges. Explore light with colour and shadows, and see the mathematical patterns in art by building a birdseed mosaic. Learn about pH with colour changes and orbie exploration.

The week of August 12-16 is for campers ages 8+.

Work together to build a giant chain reaction that fills up the studio! Flex your engineering muscles by building a cool cardboard contraption using linkages and building bridges. Explore circuits and motion by creating a light-up flip-stick (thaumatrope) and see the mathematical patterns in art by building a birdseed mosaic. Learn about pH with colour changes and orbie exploration.

All NS3 camps run 9am-3pm and are indoor/outdoor. Camps are held at NS3’s Science Studio. Each camp will have 2 Outreach Educators on site. Students must bring hats, sturdy hiking/walking shoes (no flip flops!), sunscreen, water bottles, snacks and lunch!

After-camp care from 3-5pm. $10 per day per child. Pre-registration is required online. Register separately for each day needed (you don’t need to register for the whole week). Stay and Play will be cancelled if there are no registrants one week prior to the start of camp.
