The 2014-2015 North Island Concert Society concert series presents high-energy bluegrass music by Vancouver's Tishomingo String Band.

For the past 10 years the Tishomingo String Band have been treating Vancouver audiences to their own brand of high energy acoustic music.
The group features Colin Cowan (Dan Mangan/ Analog Bell Service) on upright bass, Chris Russell on guitar, Jacob Russell on mandolin and Devon Wells (Clumsy Lovers) on banjo the group performs original and traditional material that runs the gamut from tender ballads to barn burning instrumentals.
This group combines the drive of classic bluegrass with a notion to explore the Tishomingo String Band keeps things lively and unpredictable.
