Nootka Marine Adventures - Moutcha Bay Resort The second annual Nootka Marine Adventures Salmon Derby will be held at Moutcha Bay Resort in Nootka Sound on June 27th and 28th.
There will be $11,000 in cash and prizes, with $5,000 going to the largest Chinook. Moutcha Bay Resort will serve as headquarters for the derby where the fish weigh-in and prize ceremonies will take place. Participants are encouraged to register with our customer service agents in advance of arrival.
Our Purpose: To actively promote and participate in salmon enhancement and habitat restoration in the Nootka Sound and Esperanza Inlet watersheds as well as to foster and develop interest in sportfishing. Tickets are $60 per rod. All proceeds from the derby will be donated to the Nootka Sound Watershed Society.
