Nomadic Massive is a multilingual, multicultural super-group from Montreal, Quebec. In a genre that has evolved from its early days of two turntables and a microphone Nomadic Massive features some of the city's premier performers and most skilled musicians. These musical nomads represent an open-minded Hip Hop which finds its inspiration in the traditions of the past; combining live instrumentation, samples, and a wide array of vocal styles, seamlessly weaving together influences of soul, reggae, jazz, blues, Afro-Caribbean, Latin-American, and North-African music. This super-group with its socially conscious lyrics transpiring through French, English, Arabic, Creole, and Spanish has become synonymous with energetic and crowd-moving live shows not to be missed.
Nomadic Massive has been producing music and performing since 2004 and has opened for acts such as Wyclef Jean, K'Naan, and Guru's Jazzmatazz.
The Nanaimo debut of Nomadic Massive coincides with La Fete Nationale du Quebec (Saint-Jean Baptiste Day - June 24th).
